Why Life Groups?

LifeGroups are one way that we “do life together” at Harvest. It’s tough to have deep relationships by merely attending a big event like a church service. That’s where LifeGroups come in. Real relationships are built out of shared experiences: meals together, conversations, adventures, serving others together, being there for each other when a need arises, and creating memories together. As we follow Christ TOGETHER ‘iron sharpens iron’ friendships emerge and true discipleship takes place. It is more than just a Sunday thing. It is a way of life.

Groups

Grow groups are where discipelship takes root. These are small groups of 3-6 people (men with men and women with women) that encourage and hold each other accountable to living out the commands of Jesus. Our goal is to become disciples who make disciples!

LifeGroups create a space for people to intentionally share their lives with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life. A LifeGroup Leader determines how often their group meets and what the focus of the group is. LifeGroups gather in homes, coffee shops, and other places where people love to connect—including online or through the Bible App.

First, give yourself a high five for taking the step to join a LifeGroup! Here are several easy ways to get connected:

-Visit the Connection Hub area at Harvest and talk to the staff or volunteers there.

-Talk to someone you know who leads a LifeGroup and ask if their group is open to new members.

-Use a Tap Tag durning worship to search for one.

Every LifeGroup is unique. Some discuss the weekend message or other content, some complete Bible Plans in the YouVersion Bible App together, some serve together in the community, and some play board games or eat together once a month. Two things you’ll find in every LifeGroup, though, are relationships and conversations that help people grow in their faith.

This might be a sign that God is calling you to start a group! If God’s placed a certain passion or calling within you, He might want you to take a step of faith and launch a LifeGroup around it. You won’t have to do this alone, though. Your Community Team is here to support you every step of the way.

First, email us with the button below. After that, your Community Team will reach out to help you prepare to lead your group. Then, you can invite people to your group and start meeting!
